2017 LGA Conference and Annual General Meeting

Relevance, Resilience and Reputation

The 2017 LGA Conference and Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 November at Adelaide Oval.

The theme for this year's conference is Relevance, Resilience and Reputation.

The LGA is pleased to announce that the keynote speaker on day 1 will be Dan Gregory.
Dan is the founder and CEO of The Impossible Insititute TM, a Research and Training organsiation that advises management and sales departments on what truly drives their customers and employees. Dan helps organisations drive engagement at every level and is a captivating speaker and CEO whose business acumen is matched with wit and intellect.

Day 2 will have a focus of the State Election that will lead us into the Annual General Meeting.

The conference dinner will be held on 15 November in the Ian McLachlan Room at Adelaide Oval with Jacqui Cooper, Australian Olympic Aerial Skier as guest speaker.

Registration information

If your Council registers additional delegates (for the full conference) above the number it sent to the Conference in 2016 they will receieve one free registration.  In addition, Councils who send four or more delegates (full conference pass) will recieve one free registration. So for every four delegates you register for the full event you will receive one free pass.

Please note that the free registration only applies if you register for the full conference (Both days and dinner).

Nominations for Council Members Recognition of Service 

Currently serving council members, who have served for 20 years or more (as either a Councillor or through combined service as a Councillor and a council employee) are eligible to receive a Certificate of Service.

Due to the prestigious status of these Certificates of Service, they will be presented before an audience of the recipient's peers at the Conference Networking Dinner on Wednesday 15 November at Adelaide Oval. Recipients of the Certificates of Service will be invited to attend the Dinner as a guest of the LGA.

Annual General Meeting

The 2017 Annual General Meeting of the LGA will be held on Thursday 16 November.
