Initially, to transition online to the NHVR Portal, Road Managers will be asked to use an online form, a "Portal Form." This is very similar to the email process Road Managers currently follow, and links to the NHVR Portal interface for the individual consent.
The NHVR has created a website with simple steps to help councils get ready to migrate to Portal Forms.
This is currently scheduled for release to all Road Managers on 9 October 2017. This date may be impacted by final testing and readiness of Road Managers. Soon after, the full version of the NHVR Portal - Road Manager Module will be made available to Road Managers nationally in a staged release based on individual readiness.
Road Managers may have active consent requests at the time the NHVR Portal - Forms and Road Manager Module is rolled out. These active consents will be re-issued by the NHVR Portal to Road Managers to ensure that all consents are accounted for in the transition.
To minimise this impact, the NHVR recommends Road Managers close out as many consents as possible prior to getting online.
