Summary PIRSA Biosecurity SA is seeking feedback on the draft manual and fact sheets by 25 January 2018.

To address the complexity of roadside weed management administration and practical application, Biosecurity SA has developed the draft manual as well as fact sheets for professional stakeholders and the general public.

The draft manual and fact sheets clarify stakeholder roles and responsibilities, provide comprehensive best practice management information, and summarise applicable legislation.

The manual aims to provide a ‘one stop shop’ for roadside weed management information, to enable greater efficiency and better outcomes for South Australia’s economy and environment.

Text included in the manual and fact sheets was produced by the Roadside Weeds Working Group, with input from NRM Authorities, the Local Government Association, councils, the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure, and the Native Vegetation Council.

The LGA understands that copies of the draft manual and fact sheets have been provided directly to councils.

Please provide submissions on the manual and fact sheets to Stephen Smith by Thursday 25 January 2018 at
