Summary The LGA has been asked to provide three nominees from local government to participate in the Stormwater Management Authority’s Stormwater Reference Group.

The Stormwater Management Authority (SMA) has resolved to form a Stormwater Reference Group (SRG) drawn from interested practitioners across government, academic and not-for-profit sectors in South Australia. The SRG is intended to be an informal exchange of knowledge and views.

The LGA is seeking nominations from interested persons with skills in the areas of:

  • Local government service provision;
  • Local government asset management;
  • Planning policy; and
  • Community engagement .

The SRG’s purpose is to provide the SMA with access to advice on the technical, planning, policy or regulatory aspects of stormwater management.

It is anticipated that the majority of the SRG’s business will be conducted ‘out-of-session’ by email and telephone; with members free to communicate to the degree they feel appropriate.

Please send nominations to Stephen Smith at by Thursday 21 December 2017.
