Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation – Towards 2025 discussion paper and survey

In April 2018, Australia’s Environment Ministers announced a historic target to make 100% of packaging in Australia reusable, recyclable or compostable by 2025 or earlier. APCO has been given responsibility for achieving this target and is embarking on a consultation process to help drive its work program.

Report of LGA/GISA Waste Pathways Workshop “Beyond China Sword” – 5 June 2018

The LGA and GISA hosted a Waste Pathways Workshop in June 2018 to explore the implications of the China National Sword Policy on the recycling industry in SA and to discuss how the local government sector can be part of the solution. The LGA has produced a report on the workshop, including two project proposals to progress the ideas discussed, which is now available for council’s information.
