The LGA has released an update to the My Local Services App that includes a number of key enhancements in the Report It function.
The latest release of the My Local Services App allows users to select a location for their Report independent of their current physical location. Now in the Report It section of the App users can change the designated location of their report using a familiar map style interface by adding a drop-pin.
This change allows users to quickly record a photo of an issue and when time permits complete more detail in their Report, including assigning a location.
The App also now retains contact details of the user submitting the Report It case. This enhancement makes it simpler for users to submit multiple reports.
The LGA consulted with local government vendors to ensure the Report It web service now includes details of the physical address and the user's preference for contact from council.
This enhancement ensures councils can readily action Reports and provide feedback to users when requested thus keeping their community informed of remedial activities.
All My Local Services App users were sent a notification advising them to update the App on Monday 16th January.
Users of the App need to update to continue to receive Push Notifications for their waste schedule as the LGA's service provider has migrated the supporting infrastructure to a new in-house service.
