What is a LGFSG Joint Operating Guideline?
Joint Operating Guidelines (JOGs) are a document that gives guidance on how LGSFG (LG Sector) will operate with other organisations/agencies. If a Council adopts a JOG then it should be followed, but it is up to each LGO (Council) to decide if a JOG suits their requirements.
In their role as the Control Agency, SES will be supporting this JOG by engaging their District and Regional officers to work directly with councils over the coming weeks and months to discuss the community sandbag locations and document the details. This information with then be feed to the LGFSG to maintain the database and activation processes.
The LGFSG is offering 2 x information sessions (webinars) to provide information to councils on the purpose of the JOG and how it will be rolled out.
