Regional Climate Partnerships

The Regional Climate Partnerships are a network of regional, cross-sectoral groups delivering practical action aimed at strengthening the climate resilience of their communities, economies, and natural and built environments.

Established in 2016 to develop regional climate change adaptation plans, the network today collaborates to rapidly scale big ideas for good decision-making and mainstreaming.

The active partnerships are:

  1. Adapting Northern Adelaide
  2. AdaptWest
  3. Northern and Yorke
  4. Resilient East
  5. Resilient Hills & Coasts
  6. Resilient South.

Partners vary from region to region and can include councils, regional organisations of councils, Regional Development Australia organisations, Landscape SA Boards (formerly Natural Resource Management Boards), and the South Australian government.

Sustainable Homes webinars

In 2023 the LGA and the Regional Climate Partnerships (AdaptWest, Resilient East, Resilient South, and Resilient Hills and Coasts) delivered a series of webinars on a range of sustainability and climate ready homes topics.

The webinars were presented by experts from Renew, who have been providing independent information on household sustainability for over 40 years.
