Local Government Transport Advisory Panel (LGTAP)
The Local Government Transport Advisory Panel (LGTAP) oversees the governance and operations of the Special Local Roads Program (SLRP). This panel is operated by LGA.
The SLRP provides funding to strategic and/or significant local road projects. This is done through an annual competitive grant round.
Grant assessment process
Each year LGTAP invites SA councils to apply for SLRP funding to support their local road projects.
Once applications close, council's affiliated with a Regional LGA will have their application referred to their Regional LGA for feedback and comments.
LGTAP assesses all applications, taking into consideration comments provided by Regional LGAs. The panel makes recommendations to the LGA Board of Directors for endorsement.
The LGA Board of Directors then makes recommendations to the South Australian Local Government Grants Commission.

- Mayor Jo-Anne Quigley, Lower Eyre Council (LGTAP Chair and LGA Board representative)
- Mr Phil Burton, Mount Barker District Council (country council representative)
- Mr Thomas Jones, Adelaide Plains Council (country council representative)
- Mr Peter Tsokas, City of Unley (metropolitan council representative)
- Ms Keke Michalos, City of Prospect (metropolitan council representative)
- Ms Sarah Wozniak, Local Government Association of SA (delegate of LGA)
- Mr Peter Ilee (nominee of the Minister for Local Government)
- Mr Mike Wilde (nominee of the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport)
