LGA Submissions

One of the key functions of the Local Government Association is to promote and advance the interests of local government, primarily South Australian councils and their communities.

An important part of our role is to contribute to the development of legislation and policy that impacts on councils and local communities.

At a high level, the policy positions of the LGA are informed by and captured within the LGA Policy Manual, which is developed and approved within input from member councils.

However, the policy positions of Federal, State and local government are continually evolving in response to changing circumstances, and the LGA is heavily involved in these processes.  On this page you will find recent submissions on policy development processes that the LGA has made on behalf of member councils.
