Project status

The project originally anticipated two distinct outputs;

• a IAMP template
• maturity assessment report (completed)

As the local government reforms have evolved it became clear that a more comprehensive suite of asset management info papers would actually provide more value to members (as a 'IAMP template' already existed), this was validated by the Maturity Assessment Report which has been completed as part of this project. Therefore one portion of the project scope has grown from 1 template to 13 information papers.

This has delayed the project which was due to be completed in 2021 and an extension has been granted to January 2024.

Infrastructure and asset management information papers

The first three information papers are going through the final review and will be available to members shortly on the LGA member site. The first three papers comprise of 87 pages of information and each paper went through approximately 8 revisions to get to the final version. This has obviously extended the timeframe for the development of each paper however the finished product will provide really valuable guidance material for the sector.
