The value of libraries

To build a case for the value of libraries across many portfolios, measuring outcomes against strategic plans (the way the community has benefitted) rather than outputs (eg. no. of visitors) to ensure the diverse value of libraries is captured.

This project's final report and evaluation was completed on 18 March 2020

The draft final report has been prepared by Hudson Howells consultants and the steering group  met with the consultants to provide feedback as well as providing written feedback.  The final report has been received and has met the requirements of the consultant brief.  The project was modified at commencement due to a related LGR&DS funded research project being undertaken by the UniSA and Public Libraries SA so there is $10,000 underspent.

As the LGA works closely with the PLSA, the two organisations will share information to achieve outcomes required.
