LGA Scheme Awards

About the awards

For over two decades, the LGA Scheme Awards have acknowledge excellence among South Australia's local government sector in implementing risk management programs, processes, systems or developments.

Since inception, over $1.9 million in prize money has been awarded.

From water and tree management, regional collaboration and event and volunteer management, applications should focus on a single new product, service, technology or risk practice and explain how it has helped the organisation.

If your organisation have a worthy WHS or risk project or development then LGASA Mutual want to hear about it!

Nomination criteria

Applications for each of the scheme awards will be judged on:

WHS Awards

Demonstrated innovation in the workplace to eliminate or minimise injury risk, such as actions implemented above and beyond’ standard practice. Contributed to the successful implementation of WHS to improve safety.

Risk Awards

Development of effective or innovative risk management practices that will eliminate or minimise a liability issue. Providing a safer environment for our community.

2023 LGA Scheme Awards

Nominations for the 2023 LGA Scheme Awards are now open.

Applications submitted, will be judged by key stakeholder representatives ahead of winners being announced at the LGRS Risk Management Conference.
