Creating inclusive communities

Inclusive communities start by engaging people in planning and decision-making. South Australian councils have been working toward achieving greater inclusivity through Disability Access and Inclusion Plans. These plans outline the actions councils will take to increase inclusiveness and accessibility to the services they offer to their communities.

The LGA and the Local Government Disability Inclusion Advisory Group worked with Purple Orange to create a video supporting councils in their efforts to create inclusive communities.
