The Council Commander webinar, held on 11 December 2025, outlined the role of Council Commanders in managing council’s support activities during emergencies.
A Council Commander is authorised to take actions on behalf of council to provide support during emergencies, including establishing a Council Incident Management Team (CIMT), allocating council employees and other resources, and managing all activities relating to council’s response.
