The MarStars Award celebrates and recognises great SA local government marketing campaigns. It's an opportunity for councils to reflect on the work they do and acknowledge their success with recent campaigns.
Award nominations now closed
Thanks to everyone who nominated!
Winners will be announced at the 2025 Communications Conference.
What the winner receives
The winning campaign will receive a:
- trophy and certificate for your team
- great marketing opportunity for your team and council, internally and with the media
- professional achievement to include on your CV.
Who is eligible
- Eligible entities: All elected local government organisations (councils and other recognised organisations that provide direct services to South Australian communities) are eligible to nominate a campaign. If developed with other organisations, the local government entity must be the lead applicant. All nominations require endorsement by council management prior to submission.
- Primary entry: One local government organisation must be the lead on every entry. This is the case even when the submission has multiple collaborating partners with other councils or organisations. Acknowledgment and reference to those partners can be made in the entry submission.
- Funding partners: Councils that receive funding from other bodies (including Commonwealth bodies) may enter, but one local government entity must be the leading entity for the entry.
Judging criteria
Campaigns are not judged on budget or size – all campaigns are eligible for entry and will be assessed equally.
