Updated CEO Checklist – for reference following the conclusion of a periodic election
The CEO Checklist sets out a range of matters that must be actioned following the conclusion of a periodic election, including those that should be incorporated in the Agenda for the first (or second) council meeting.
The Checklist has been updated to incorporate changes arising from the commencement of relevant provisions in the Statutes Amendment (Local Government Review) Act 2021. It includes a list of documents that councils must prepare or review and the legislative timeframes within which this must be actioned.
The Checklist refers to a range of LGA Resources. The Governance Team is working through updates to a number of documents and, in some cases, updated resources in the Checklist are still be issued. As resources are finalised for release, they will be published to the LGA website.
