Expressions of Interest open for the CEO Advisory Group

The LGA Board of Directors is required to establish a CEO Advisory Group to provide advice to the LGA on the design and delivery of policy and services to members.

The inaugural CEO Advisory Group was established in November 2018 and has become a highly valued part of the LGA decision making framework.

The primary role of the Group is to consider:

• The value and validity of services offered by the LGA to members
• Proposals for the further development of existing or new services by the LGA
• The effectiveness of operational policies adopted by the LGA in connection with member services.

The Terms of Reference (attached below) outline the responsibilities, functions, and operational details of the CEO Advisory Group.

With the term for the current CEO Advisory Group coming to an end, expressions of interest are now being sought from CEOs for the 2022–24 term.

Eligibility

The Group’s Terms of Reference state:

• 4 .1 The CEO Advisory Group is comprised of:
  • 4.1.1    Four (4) Chief Executive Officers of Members within the SAROC Regional Groupings of Members, with no more than one coming from the same regional grouping; and
  • 4.1.2    Four (4) Chief Executive Officers of Members within GAROC Regional Groupings of Members, with no more than one coming from the same regional grouping.

Current CEO Advisory Group Members are eligible for reappointment. Appointments are made by the Board of Directors for a term of 2 years.

Nominations from CEOs can be made on the nomination form (attached below) addressing the selection criteria and key questions.

You must submit your nomination to nominationscoordinator@lga.sa.gov.au by close of business on Friday 25 November 2022

Nominations will be considered at the LGA Board of Directors meeting in early December 2022.
