Earlier this year, the Asbestos Safety and Eradication Agency (ASEA) undertook research to help create a free guide on asbestos interventions for councils.
The draft Guide for Local Government to combat illegal dumping and improper disposal of asbestos
contains:
- a step-by-step process to design a strategic intervention program
- important principles to follow when designing interventions
- guidance on why and when councils should intervene
- ideas to prevent illegal dumping and the improper disposal of asbestos.
Please give your feedback on the draft guide
The LGA will provide a submission to ASEA on behalf of the sector. Please submit your feedback via email to Belinda Tassone by Wednesday 12 October 2022.
