Provide your feedback for the Immunisation Costing Project
We are seeking your feedback to better understand the costs associated with this service to inform our advocacy and negotiations.
Project background
The LGA has initiated an Immunisation Costing Project to better understand the cost to councils in delivering the School-based Immunisation Program and Public Immunisation Program.
The information from this project will help build a sound evidence base. This will inform our negotiations with the Department for Health and Wellbeing on the next Memorandum of Understanding – which provides the framework for immunisation funding and defines the roles of state and local government.
Better understanding these costs will also help your council as you review your service delivery model.
The project builds on a similar cost analysis commissioned by the LGA in 2007 and 2013, noting there have since been significant changes to the national and state immunisation programs.
The LGA has engaged BRM Advisory to collate information from councils and report on the average costs incurred to provide immunisation services.
What information do councils need to provide?
All councils who deliver immunisation services are being asked to complete a survey.
The survey asks questions about how you deliver immunisation services and to estimate staff time and operational costs associated with this service.
You will also be asked open-ended questions to inform the LGA’s advocacy work on immunisation.
Return the completed survey (one response per council) to mrichardson@brmadvisory.com.au by Friday 7 October 2022
