Changes to the Road Traffic Act – Nominations in place of statutory declarations

Councils must make changes to their statutory declaration process for parking offences in preparation for changes to the Road Traffic Act 1961.

Amendments to the Road Traffic Act 1961 will commence Thursday 18 May. These changes allow vehicle owners to nominate another person as the driver or owner by nomination (rather than statutory declaration).
