Give your feedback on how personal mobility devices are used in SA

14 April 2023
The State Government is reviewing the use of privately-owned personal mobility devices on roads and in public areas.

These include:

  • e-scooters
  • electric skateboards
  • single-wheel self-balancing devices
  • Segways.

Currently, only fleet-operated e-scooters are approved for use. Since the introduction of trials in March 2019, there has been a significant increase in their popularity.

Submit your feedback now.

The State Government is now seeking feedback on extending beyond the trial phase and permitting personal mobility devices in public areas.

Please submit your feedback by 21 May 2023.

The LGA does not intend to make a formal submission on behalf of all councils. If you make a submission, or you believe the LGA should make a submission, please email andrew.lamb@lga.sa.gov.au.
