Register for the Greater Adelaide Australian Early Development Census forum
The Australian Early Development Census (AEDC) is a national measurement of Australian childhood development, and the 2021 census data has now been released.
This data highlights what is working well in communities, and what needs to be improved, to best support children and their families. It also provides an important evidence base that communities can use to better understand how to make a difference.
The LGA is managing the Early Childhood Community Innovation grant program which has supported council programs that use the AEDC data.
Now, the Office is holding an online forum about how the data can be used to support community-led action to improve early childhood outcomes.
About the forum
The forum will be led by the Department for Education’s Office for the Early Years.
The Office for the Early Years provides a single point of leadership across the public sector to improve the proportion of children developmentally on track when starting school.
This forum will highlight:
- how well children are developing in Greater Adelaide
- ways to use the AEDC data to improve outcomes
- benefits in partnering to respond to community needs
- information to help communities make change
