Updated LGA model Rates Notice for 2023–24

A model Rates Notice can be found on the Council Rate Resources page. The following is available:
- A document, which provides updated content for the 2023-24 Model Rates Notice. This also identifies any changes from the previous year.
- An example which shows how content options in the above document may be used for the layout of the notice – making it simple and easy to read.
Councils are encouraged to review and update relevant sections of the notice for their council.
Councils should ensure they include specific information where needed (e.g. council details, phone numbers, financial years).
The LGA provide a model Rates Notice as a service to members. This was developed in consultation with relevant agencies. Please seek legal advice if your version substantively differs from the template.
This Rates Notice has been prepared for the 2023–24 Rating Year. It will again be amended for 2024–25.
