Infrastructure Investment Program funding reminder

Councils have until April 30 to submit any necessary reports to the Department of Infrastructure and Transport to access remaining funding under the Roads to Recovery and Local Roads and Community Infrastructure programs.

Roads to Recovery

South Australian councils must finalise their Work Schedule and provide a 1 January – 31 March 2024 quarterly report to the department to access remaining funding through the Roads to Recovery program.

Projected expenditure to 30 June 2024 must be included in the report.

This will enable payments to be made to eligible councils by mid‑May 2024, with funding to be spent by 31 December 2024.

Councils must use the department’s Infrastructure Management System to access and update their own project and funding information.

Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program

Project construction for phases one, two and three of the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure program are required by 30 June 2024.

Local councils who want to amend their Work Schedule for these phases must do so before 30 April 2024.

For phase four, most councils will have an approved Work Schedule for project construction by 30 June 2025.

Councils without an approved Work Schedule for phase 4 must submit their proposed projects for approval through LRCIP@infrastructure.gov.au.
