Register to learn how the Water Industry Act applies to your council role
Held on Thursday, 21 March 2024 from 9 am - 4 pm, the training is available to all water industry entities and professionals and will be facilitated by the Department for Environment and Water, and Office of the Technical Regulator.
You will learn more about:
- background and objectives of the Water Industry Act
- Water Industry Entity (WIE) and customer responsibilities
- differences between Water Industry Officers versus Authorised Officers
- enforcement options for WIEs and examples
- plumbing and infrastructure standards, relevant codes and supporting resources including the Non-drinking Water Guidelines
- Office of the Technical Regulator responsibilities under the Act.
The training will be informal in nature and allow for open discussion amongst participants. Lunch will be provided on the day.
