Updated LGA Model Rates Notice for 2024-25

The updated Model Rates Notice can be found on the council rate resources page available to members.
The resources page provides:
- updated content for the 2024-25 Model Rates Notice. This also identifies any changes from the previous year
- an example showing how content options in the document can be used for layout of the notice – making it simple and easy to read.
Councils are encouraged to review and update relevant sections of the Model Rates Notice and customise content to include specific information where needed (e.g. council details, phone numbers, financial years).
LGA provides a Model Rates Notice as a service to members. The updated notice was developed in consultation with a range of stakeholders.
Please seek legal advice if your version differs significantly from the template.
This Model Rates Notice has been prepared for the 2024-25 rating year and will be amended again for 2025-26.
