Federal inquiry into local government funding and fiscal sustainability
Along with other peak bodies, LGA has been calling for this inquiry to be reinstated since the previous inquiry lapsed in May 2025 at the last federal election.
LGA has been advised by the Chair of the Committee that evidence provided to the previous lapsed inquiry will be considered as part of the new inquiry.
