Have your say on GISA’s Multi-Unit Developments guide
GISA is undertaking a significant update of the Better Practice Guide for Multi-Unit Developments – Waste and Recycling (2014), commonly known as the MUDs Guide.
This update will ensure the Guide reflects contemporary design, planning and waste management practices for multi-unit developments across South Australia.
A draft of the revised Guide has been developed and GISA are seeking input from local government.
How to contribute
Council officers who interact with the delivery of waste and recycling services to multi-unit dwellings (eg. Circularity, waste and sustainability staff, planning staff, traffic staff etc) are invited to participate in a collaborative workshop on 5 February 2026.
Representatives from GISA, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the consultant team Rawtec and MasterPlan will also be participating in the session.
