About the SA Drought Advisory Group
The SA Drought Advisory Group is established by the Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA) as a non-statutory advisory body to provide coordinated advice on drought impacts and support needs.
Chaired by the Chief Executive, Department of Primary Industries, the group has members from across government departments, Primary Producers SA, LGA SA and other interested bodies.
The objective of the SA Drought Advisory Group is to ensure a coordinated response to the challenges presented by drought conditions experienced by South Australian farmers.
This objective will be achieved through cross commodity, a whole of government approach to identify and explore the impacts, response priorities, points of resilience and recovery initiatives for primary producers, primary industries and regional communities.
