Updates to LGA Delegations Framework
Councils exercise a broad range of statutory powers and functions, most of which can be delegated under the Local Government Act 1999 or other relevant legislation.
The Delegations Framework was created to assist council staff, particularly governance officers, on all matters of delegation by providing easy-to-use guides and templates that can reduce legal risk and enhance flexibility for councils.
The Delegations Framework is routinely reviewed by LGA’s Legal Connect partners, Norman Waterhouse Lawyers.
