Have your say on council member allowances
This process occurs every 4 years, as required under section 76 of the Local Government Act 1999 and section 24 of the City of Adelaide Act 1998.
Make a submission
As part of the review process, the tribunal must provide an opportunity for those affected to make a submission. These can be made orally or in writing.
To make a written submission, you need to:
- check requirements in the submission guidelines (PDF 23 KB)
- email your submission to RemunerationTribunal@sa.gov.au.
Closing date is Friday 1 May 2026 (deadline has been extended).
Support a sector-wide submission
Please include LGA in any correspondence or submissions to the tribunal. This will help us assess if a sector-wide submission is warranted to represent the collective interests of local government.
