The Fair Work Commission’s Road Transport Contractual Chain Order (RTCCO) – Fuel Cost Recovery – 2026, which came into effect on 21 April 2026, introduced new fuel cost recovery obligations across the road transport supply chain. Since its introduction, the order has created financial and operational impacts for councils and the broader local government sector nationally.
