Successful candidates must attend at least four meetings per year. Meetings are usually held at LG House.

About the CEO Advisory Group

The role of the CEO Advisory Group is to consider:

• the value and validity of services offered by the LGA to its members
• proposals for the further development of existing or new LGA services
• the effectiveness of operational policies adopted by the LGA in connection with member services.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must currently be employed in a Chief Executive Officer (or equivalent) role of a South Australian council.

The CEO Advisory Group is comprised of:

Four chief executive officers of Members within SAROC Regional Groupings of Member, with no more than one coming from the same regional grouping; and

Four chief executive officers of Members within GAROC Regional Groupings of Member, with no more than one coming from the same regional grouping once regional groups are implemented for GAROC.

To submit your nomination, email the following as PDF documents to lgasa@lga.sa.gov.au:

• a completed nomination form (DOCX 58.7 KB) which includes your responses to the selection criteria
• your current CV

As this is a committee of the LGA, not an Outside Body, nominations don't have to be endorsed by a council resolution.

Applications close 5:00 pm, Wednesday 25 November 2026.

Next steps

Once nominations close, the LGA Nominations Committee will meet to review the nominations. The committee will then present their recommendation to the LGA Board of Directors for consideration.
