As a value-add to our members and wider public, we have developed the My Local Services smartphone application that enables South Australian councils to deliver updated and useful location-based information direct to their community.

About My Local Services
The My Local Services app is a smartphone application tailored especially for councils.
Informed by data and invaluable insights from the community via councils, the app has been designed to deliver localised council information to residents of South Australia.
The app is free to download, install and use on any Apple or Android smartphone devices for end users.
For our members (councils), My Local Services is a subscription for all SA councils.
Designed for councils in mind
With My Local Services, councils can:
- Promote new and upcoming community consultations
- List local events to drive awareness and attendance
- Map out community facilities such as trails, boat ramps, ovals, libraries, playgrounds, or dog parks
- Relay council news and issues
- Receive reports of issues such as broken bins, or pavement failures
- Provide reminders on waste collections, rate payments, and events.
How it works
The My Local Services app works seamlessly with the Squiz Matrix CMS.
Information on events, park facilities, and elected members are automatically pulled from your Squiz console to be displayed onto the My Local Services app. This means updating your Squiz console will update the My Local Services app.
If you are a council who is not currently using the Squiz Matrix CMS, a Squiz console will be provided to you.
The information from your council is stored in the LGA Squiz platform and leverages on third-party cloud services such as ArcGIS online and Parse.
